It can be specified as a simple 4 leg chair, 4 leg task chair with soft castors, 5 leg, height-adjustable office chair or elegant sledge base design for dining room applications. Each variation is clearly identified by its crisply formed, angled arm supports, and taught seat and back sections. Light, strong and stylish, Paco is perfect for myriad residential and commercial applications. Gerard Vollenbrock (1949) lives and works in Arnhem and on the Greek island Serifos. He studied graphic design at the Academy of Art and Industry in Enschede and fine art at Academy of Art in Arnhem. Vollenbrock has been working as a furniture designer since 1984 but also taught furniture and interior design between 1987 and 1992 at the Minerva Academy in Groningen. His designs have been included in the collections of Artifort, Geldeland, Castelijn, Leolux, Lande and Linteloo, among others. Vollenbrock's designs are largely determined by his mastery of the use of form, space and materials and fit perfectly within the tradition of contemporary Dutch design. In 2009 he created the elegantly versatile and subtly detailed Paco chair for Arifort.
